Captain Ibrahim Traoré Engages with Regional Authorities and FDS

Gaoua, South-West Region – The Burkinabè newspapers today highlighted the visit of Captain Ibrahim Traoré, President of the Transition, to Gaoua, focusing on his interaction with the heads of administrative districts and the Defense and Security Forces (FDS).

According to Burkina Information Agency, a private daily, the President has been in Gaoua since Wednesday for the inauguration of the Gaoua Regional University Hospital Center. During his stay, Traoré engaged in discussions with various regional actors about their concerns. L’Observateur Paalga noted the challenges faced by the administration in the region, while Sidwaya, the state daily, commended the resilience of the region’s residents amidst the country’s security challenges.

In a related development, L’Express du Faso, a newspaper from Bobo-Dioulasso, reported on the ongoing crisis within the Burkinabè Football Federation (FBF). The dispute between the FBF and leagues 1 and 2 remains unresolved despite mediation efforts. The FBF President, Lazare Bancé, was quoted by Le Pays asserting his intention to complete his term, while Observer Paalga highlighted Bancé’s call for regular competition for the presidency.
