Zoundweogo: The canton chief of Binde, Naaba Yanbolobo II, called upon the community members this Saturday to enhance their unity and practice forgiveness to foster local development. "Today, I pledge to forgive those who have offended me, and I also ask forgiveness from those I have hurt during my enthronement," he expressed, urging the community to eliminate division and cultivate love and solidarity for the prosperity of Binde.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the canton chief delivered his message on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at a community conference themed: "Social Cohesion, Peace and Development of the Commune of Binde: What Contributions from the Sons and Daughters?". The event, organized by the citizen watchdog, brought together administrative, traditional, and religious authorities, along with significant portions of the population.
The gathering saw a large turnout from the sons and daughters of the commune's 31 villages, including both local residents and those living elsewhere. Organizers commended the strong participation and the high quality of the presentations, asserting that the objective of enhancing local cohesion was successfully met.
"Given the mobilization and the quality of the interventions, especially those coming from the leaders, I am very satisfied," stated the Head of Mission, Thierry Wendpassamde Nikiema. He emphasized the importance of unity for development, suggesting that unity requires identifying and addressing dividing issues. Once cohesion is achieved, the locality can advance its development independently.
Mamounata Congo, the president of the special delegation of the commune of Binde, along with several figures including the Director General of Internal Security, Aboubacar Compaore, lauded the initiative and advocated for the continuation of this dialogue framework.
