Canada’s New Ambassador to Burkina Faso Focuses on Listening and Dialogue to Strengthen Ties


OUAGADOUGOU — Tina Guthrie, the newly appointed Canadian ambassador to Burkina Faso, has emphasized that her mandate will prioritize listening and dialogue to reinforce the longstanding cooperation between the two countries, which spans 62 years.



According to Burkina Information Agency, her comments came during the presentation of the Figured Copies of her Letters of Credence to Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré, the head of Burkinabe diplomacy, on Friday, September 13, 2024. Guthrie reaffirmed her commitment to fostering collaboration in areas of mutual interest and deepening the diplomatic relationship between Canada and Burkina Faso.
