Cameroon to Import 60,000 Tonnes of Domestic Gas Amid Growing National Demand

Cameroon—In an effort to meet the increasing demand for domestic gas, Cameroon will import 60,000 tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas in the first half of 2024.

According to the Africa News Agency, the gas will be delivered in two batches: one of 35,000 tonnes and another of 25,000 tonnes. The Cameroonian State will continue to subsidize this essential consumer product, demand for which is growing at an average rate of 5% each year according to official statistics.
