Caisse Populaire de Orodara Donates School Kits to Internally Displaced Students in Kénédougou

Orodara, In a notable act of support, the Caisse populaire de Orodara distributed school kits to internally displaced students (EDI) across four basic education districts (CEB) in Kénédougou province of the Hauts-Bassins region on Wednesday, October 25, 2023. The distribution event saw the attendance of primary education’s leading provincial officials.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of the Board of Directors at Caisse populaire de Orodara, the generous donation, valued at over one million CFA francs, primarily consisted of school bags, slates, notebooks, and pens. The initiative targeted internally displaced students from the CEBs of Banzon, Koloko, Orodara, and Samorogouan.

Traoré explained that the ongoing security crisis within the country has compelled numerous populations to relocate, bringing along various challenges. “This is why the Caisse populaire, through its social component, wants to provide support to internally displaced students to support their parents a little,” stated Traoré.

Doubakô Bahan, representing the beneficiaries and also the director of the school in sector no. 4 of Orodara, expressed gratitude to the Caisse populaire de Orodara for their timely and invaluable contribution during the 2023-2024 school year.

Pié Coulibaly, the provincial director in charge of primary education in Kénédougou, expressed hope for a strengthened partnership in the future while assuring the Caisse populaire that the donations would indeed reach the intended beneficiaries.
