Luanda: Several startups, both national and foreign, have praised the first edition of the Angola Hub Transport and Logistics Summit as a viable platform for promoting innovation and strategic partnerships in the fields of mobility and digital transformation.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Zambian representative Faith Mukumbiri, from the startup Nyamula Logistics Solutions, highlighted the event as an opportunity to exchange experiences and establish strategic partnerships with Angolan companies in the sector. She explained that Nyamula Logistics Solutions connects carriers and customers with freight needs, optimizing communication and coordination between them. The company operates bidirectionally, facilitating interactions between carriers and customers to enhance the transportation process.
Anair Bequeti, head of the national startup “100 Destinos,” presented a platform offering air and ground transportation tickets, along with hotel and tourism services. Operating for about a year, the platform has already garnered over 50,000 hits, indicating significant interest and engagement.
Staebern Derrick Kapurura of Veekay Investments, specializing in logistics and customs clearance, stated that the summit provided a fruitful platform for exposure and networking among entrepreneurs. His company focuses on preparing documents for goods and vehicles to facilitate transportation to the Port of Maputo, highlighting its role in the logistics chain.
The startup Wewa, led by Benildo Pedro, showcased a last-mile logistics solution designed for small and medium-sized retailers selling through social media. In just six weeks of operation, Wewa achieved 108 deliveries, increasing customer satisfaction by 50% and reducing costs by 20%.
The Angola Hub Summit 2025, held from the 17th to the 19th of this month in Luanda, has positioned itself as one of the country’s leading platforms for innovation and entrepreneurship. The event attracted companies and investors interested in technological solutions aimed at enhancing mobility, logistics, and digital transformation.
