Burkina’s SONATUR to Launch Sale of Over 1,000 Plots in October 2025

Ouagadougou: The National Urban Land Development Company (SONATUR) announced an upcoming sale of more than 1,000 plots of land in Burkina Faso. The sale, which is set to take place from October 28 to 31, 2025, will offer plots in Bindougousso, Bobo-Dioulasso; Poedogo, Ouahigouya; and Silmiougou, Ouagadougou.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the sale will begin at 10 a.m. on October 28 and conclude at 12 p.m. on October 31, unless the plots are sold out before the deadline. Adama Sere, senior advisor to the director general of SONATUR, stated that the sales would be conducted exclusively online via the platform https://souscription.sonatur.bf. The available plots vary between 200 and 900 square meters, with nearly 500 plots in Bindougousso, around 400 in Silmiougou, and about 250 in Poedogo.

Adama Sere detailed that subscription fees are 50,000 CFA francs for plots in Silmiougou and Bindougousso, while those in Poedogo are priced at 25,000 CFA francs. These fees are non-refundable and must be paid directly to SONATUR bank accounts. The initial down payment is set at 30% for residential plots and 40% for commercial plots, with the balance payable over a year. The subscription fees are due alongside the down payment.

For those interested in Poedogo, residential plots are priced at 17,000 CFA francs per square meter for non-corner locations and 19,000 CFA francs for corners. Commercial plots are available at 20,000 CFA francs per square meter. In Bindougousso, residential plots cost 25,000 CFA francs per square meter for non-corner and non-asphalt locations, with higher prices for corner and asphalt plots. Commercial plots range from 50,000 to 55,000 CFA francs per square meter. Silmiougou plots are priced between 26,000 and 28,000 CFA francs for residential use, with commercial plots on unpaved and paved roads ranging from 40,000 to 55,000 CFA francs per square meter.

To maintain transparency and protect against cybercrimes, Mr. Sere emphasized that there are no intermediaries in the purchase process. Payments made through mobile money services are invalid, and only bank account transactions listed on subscription receipts are recognized. He called for vigilance among citizens to prevent fraudulent activities.
