His Majesty spared no effort to grant us this blessing. We went on site, and the work went very well,” said Minister Somda.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Minister emphasized the importance of returning to express gratitude for the support and blessings received, which have significantly contributed to the project’s current success. “We are still counting on his blessings so that the project can be completed under the right conditions,” Mr. Somda added.

The delegation from the ministerial department received advice and support from His Majesty, who is recognized for his positive influence on sports and youth development. This support is seen as crucial for ensuring that sports in Burkina Faso progress and achieve competitiveness on an international level, nurturing talents of the necessary calibre.

Additionally, Moogho Naaba Baongo announced plans to award a trophy to the best goalkeeper in the national football championship to generate excitement for this position.

Minister Somda praised this initiative as visionary, noting that while the striker position often receives more attention, acknowledging goalkeepers could inspire young athletes and enhance their development. “The decision to motivate the best goalkeepers for national competitions is, I believe, a very visionary one. We hope that this award will generate enthusiasm among young athletes, so that goalkeepers can train and fully ensure the future,” concluded Minister Somda.
