Ouagadougou: The Institute of Social Sciences (INSS) is gearing up to host a two-day event from April 29 to 30 in Ouagadougou, aimed at promoting T´, a traditional dish enjoyed by nearly 80% of households in Burkina Faso.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the event's objective is to enhance knowledge and skills related to T´, a dish deeply rooted in all communities across Burkina Faso. The program will feature a variety of activities including scientific discussions, photo exhibitions, tasting sessions, and cultural performances.
The event will delve into the diverse techniques of preparing T´ within the country's various ethnocultural groups, examine its unique characteristics such as the variety of cereals used, accompanying sauces, and preservation methods. It also aims to educate the younger generations about the significance of safeguarding this culinary heritage.
This initiative aligns with the national effort to assert food and cultural sovereignty amidst the growing influence of imported products.
