Ouagadougou, Triple jump world champion Hugues Fabrice Zango from Burkina Faso has been distinguished as the best international athlete of the year by his French club, Artois-Athlétisme.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the commendation took place during the club’s traditional general assembly on Saturday, October 28, in Bruay-La-Buissière. Zango, who initiated his journey with Artois-Athlétisme in 2016, shared his gratitude during the ceremony. He extended his thanks to Marion Wiesztort, the President of the club, Ludovic Pajot, the Mayor of Bruay-La-Buissière, and all the members of Artois Athlétisme.
