Ouagadougou: The Minister of State, Minister of Territorial Administration and Mobility, Mr. Emile ZERBO, received a significant contribution from the Burkinabe Shippers' Council (CBC) on Tuesday, May 13, 2025. The delegation, led by Director General Dr. Kassoum TRAORE, presented a check for fifty million (50,000,000) CFA francs to the Minister of State, reflecting the CBC's commitment to supporting the peace effort in Burkina Faso.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Dr. Kassoum TRAORE expressed that this donation is indicative of the CBC's civic and patriotic dedication to aiding the government's endeavors in peace, security, and development. "This contribution is part of our ongoing commitment to the well-being of the Burkinabe people. In response to the call of the President of Faso, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORE, we have decided to contribute fifty million (50,000,000) CFA francs to the Patriotic Support Fund," emphasized Dr. Kassoum TRAORE.
Dr. Kassoum TRAORE highlighted that the CBC has a history of solidarity actions, noting previous contributions, including a one hundred million (100,000,000) CFA francs donation to the peace effort in 2024. In 2023, the CBC provided rolling stock to the National Police and supported Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) with essential supplies.
Minister Emile ZERBO expressed gratitude for the CBC's commitment to the nation, underscoring the importance of such solidarity in fostering social cohesion and supporting the country's stability and development. "Burkina Faso needs this spirit of commitment and solidarity. Beyond this contribution, remain mobilized, remain committed. Continue to work in your daily activities for the greater good of the Nation," he urged.
Additionally, the Minister encouraged all Burkinabe citizens to demonstrate their solidarity and commitment to building a sovereign nation characterized by peace and security.
