Ouagadougou: The Burkinabe government has announced a new initiative reserving 10% of the positions in the judicial competitive examination for employees within the public administration sector who possess a master's degree or a master's degree in law. This decision follows the latest session of the Council of Ministers.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Minister Rodrigue Bayala stated that the quota is set specifically for staff within the public administration. Eligibility criteria include being under 45 years of age, being a permanent employee of the state or parliamentary public administration, and holding the required legal qualifications.
The Council of Ministers meeting on April 3, 2025, led to the adoption of a decree detailing the conditions and procedures for allocating these reserved spots in the entrance exam to the National School of the Judiciary. Minister Bayala elaborated that this decree implements the law from April 26, 2024, which amended the judiciary status law initially established in August 2015.
