OUAGADOUGOU — The Burkinabe government has officially paid tribute to Dr. Moïse Napon, a revered leader and former president of the Economic and Social Council, who passed away at the age of 76.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the government expressed profound sorrow over the death of Dr. Napon, which occurred on Friday, October 11, 2024. In his varied roles as a reverend pastor, secretary general of the NGO CREDO Burkina, and notably as the president of the Economic and Social Council, Dr. Napon dedicated his life to aiding the poorest and most vulnerable sections of society, striving to uplift them towards dignity and solidarity.



The tribute highlighted Dr. Napon’s lifelong commitment to social activism and his substantial contributions to the community, emphasizing his legacy of mutual aid that continues to benefit the disadvantaged.
