Burkinabe Fans in Doha Prepare to Support Junior Stallions in Quarter-Final Against Italy

Doha: The Burkinabe community in Doha is intensifying its efforts to support the Burkina Faso Junior Stallions as they face Italy's U17 Squadra Azzurra in the quarter-finals of the World Cup on Friday. The match is scheduled for 1:30 pm UTC and 4:30 pm local time. According to Burkina Information Agency, a delegation led by Amidou Coulibaly, the Charge d'Affaires ad interim of the Embassy of Burkina Faso in Qatar, has visited the Burkinabe delegation to show support and encouragement. The aim is to motivate the team to push for a victory in this crucial match. Aboubacar Younga, representing the elders of the Burkinabe community in Qatar, emphasized the continuous mobilization around the team since the tournament's inception. Younga expressed hopes for a victory against Italy, aspiring for the Junior Stallions to win the tournament and bring joy to the people of Burkina Faso. Yonga detailed the community's organizational efforts, stating that specific roles have been assigned for communication and support m obilization. He explained that a group would be present at the stadium four hours before the match to distribute entry tickets to Burkinabe supporters, ensuring that those with pre-purchased tickets via the internet receive them efficiently. He also highlighted the embassy's role in facilitating comfort for those in VIP boxes, stating that the organization leaves nothing to chance. Yonga underscored the support from AES communities and the Ghanaian community, which has created a sense of camaraderie and solidarity among the supporters. The Junior Stallions held a recovery session on Wednesday to maintain fitness levels. Right-back Ousmane Ouedraogo, who suffered a muscle contusion in the previous match against Uganda, may soon return to the squad, as indicated by the team's medical staff.
