Ouagadougou: Burkinabe musician Floby has announced his support for the food self-sufficiency program initiated by President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, by investing in agriculture. During a visit to his cornfield, the artist emphasized the importance of contributing to the nation's future through agriculture.

According to Burkina Information Agency, he has embarked on his first year of farming in this area with 20 kilograms of corn seeds. He expressed hope that the yield would exceed one ton, marking a successful start. Floby, who has had a passion for farming since childhood, already cultivates other crops such as beans in his hometown of Kourittenga. "A hungry man is not free, and I want to be an example for my generation," he said.

Floby sees agriculture not only as a means of securing personal independence but also as a way to inspire young people to engage in the agricultural sector. He expressed gratitude to the government for its support to farmers and encouraged others to follow his lead in contributing to the country’s agricultural development.
