Ouagadougou: Burkinabe Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ou©draogo announced in Ouagadougou that the Burkinabe army is engaged with honor and professionalism in the reconquest of the national territory. “We have a determined, professional army, and above all, one that is leading the fight with honor to reclaim the territory and the dignity of the Burkinabe people,” stated the head of government.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Prime Minister made these remarks on April 29, 2025, during a significant address to colleagues from Radiodiffusion T©l©vision du Burkina (RTB) and the online media Faso7. Ou©draogo emphasized that the struggle for real independence is being conducted in close collaboration with the sister armies of the Confederation of Sahel States, notably those of Mali and Niger.
He reassured that the people’s determination is unwavering and convinced that victory in this conflict will be achieved using all available means. Addressing a query about yet another plot to destabilize Burkina Faso, the Prime Minister asserted that “everything is being done to ensure that these projects meet the same fate as the previous plots.”
Regarding allegations of Burkinabe soldiers’ involvement in such plots, Mr. Ou©draogo affirmed, “The real fighters are those who are determined at the front to reconquer the country.” He lamented that only those who are misguided, easily corruptible, and manipulated succumb to the advances of the enemies of the Burkinabe nation.
