Burkinabè Air Forces Decimate Terrorists in Guibga

GUIBGA – In a significant operation against terrorism, the Burkinabè military conducted precise aerial strikes in Guibga, Center-North region, effectively neutralizing a group of terrorists. The operation, carried out on February 13, 2024, targeted militants attempting to retrieve the body of a deceased leader.

According to Burkina Information Agency, on February 14, around thirty terrorists from the north of Guibga converged at the site, likely in search of their fallen leader’s remains. They were soon joined by an additional group, gathering under a large tree. However, vigilant air forces swiftly launched a bombing raid on their location, generating thick black smoke and causing multiple casualties among the insurgents. While several terrorists perished in the attack, eight initially managed to flee, though five were subsequently killed, leaving three on the run. The military continues its operations to apprehend the remaining fugitives, underscoring its ongoing commitment to combating terrorism in the region.
