The Minister in charge of Culture Rimtalba Jean Emanuel Ouédraogo paid a courtesy visit on Tuesday to the president of the Hauts-Bassins regional consular delegation, Al-Hassane Siénou, who is also the sponsor of the 20th edition of the national week of culture (SNC), to express its gratitude to him.

“It is a pleasant duty for me to retrace my steps after the good performance of the 20th edition of the National Culture Week (SNC) to say thank you to the sponsor who accepted to ensure the paternity of this cultural event, held in a very difficult context,” indicated the Minister of Culture, Arts and Tourism, Rimtalba Jean Emanuel Ouédraogo.

This success is to be credited to the sponsor who has been involved in supporting the ministry to succeed in the organization’s bet and “we owe this success to your involvement, your leadership, and your commitment”, he added. he adds

Rimtalba Jean Emanuel added that the testimonies and the enthusiasm during the event suggested that in the history of this biennial of culture, the SNC has never known such success, despite the particular context in which it is held.

For his part, the sponsor of the 20th edition of the SNC, Al-Hassane Siénou indicated that “even political events have not yet succeeded in draining such a world in Bobo-Dioulasso. Proof that cultural actors and populations were waiting for this edition of the biennial of culture postponed several times.

Mr. Siénou reaffirmed his availability to always support cultural events.

As a reminder, the National Culture Week (SNC) was held from April 29 to May 6, 2023 under the theme “Cultural diversity, ferment of national unity”.
