The Burkinabè government denied on Tuesday the rumor spread since the day before of an arrest of the Dima of Ouargaye for alleged links with armed terrorist groups.

According to information from the AIB, Her Majesty intends to seize the competent authorities to find the authors of this false news.

“Rumors denying the arrest of Dima de Ouargaye.

Since the beginning of this week, information disseminated on social networks has reported a supposed arrest of Dima de Ouargaye, in the context of the fight against terrorism.

The Minister of Territorial Administration, Decentralization and Security (MATDS), formally denies these false allegations.

He reassures the public opinion and the populations of Koulpelogo in particular, that the Dima of Ouargaye who is also an agent in the MATDS, has not been arrested and is neither closely nor remotely concerned by any investigation for complicity in acts of terrorism.

The Minister warns the authors about the risks incurred in the disclosure of false information, invites the populations to remain vigilant and to divest themselves of skilfully distilled rumors of the kind in order to sow discord in public opinion and undermine the fight that we are waging against the forces of evil. »
