Burkina: the “Buudbo kakato” association trains 25 young people in cultural entrepreneurship



Ouagadougou, September 9, 2023 (AIB) – the buudbo kakato association, through its “Yam-Wekré” project, closed, on Saturday September 9 in Ouagadougou, the 4th edition of its artistic and cultural entrepreneurial training session which brought together 25 young artists, noted the AIB.



“For a month, 25 young artists were equipped in acting, humor, dance, reading, musical art, artistic makeup, writing artistic and computer projects,” declared the president of the buudbo kakato association, M .Sawadogo.



According to him, the project consisted of teaching young people the theoretical and practical specificities of cultural activities, the different art professions to enable them to bring their touches to the cultural promotion of Burkina Faso.



The Yam-Wekré project aims to promote cultural and artistic entrepreneurship and to facilitate cohesion and integration between hearing impaired people and people without disabilities, he added.



Souleymane Sawadogo spoke on Saturday September 9, 2023 in Ouagadougou on the occasion of the closing of the 4th edition of the “Yam-Wekré” project with the creation of a theater and dance show inspired by the text of the theater actor, Minoungou D. Noël.



According to one of the trainers and director, Brahima Diarra, at the end of this training, the young people produced a theatrical play entitled “marathon man” which denounces the various evils which undermine Africa and also invites Africans to a true union for an independent Africa.



For his part, the representative of the beneficiaries, Youssouf Dianda, welcomed the initiative of the organizers who offered them this opportunity to increase their artistic skills in order to contribute to the promotion and enhancement of culture on a national and international level.



“Culture is a basis for development, through it we can fight against the ills of society,” he said.
