Poa: Hundreds of people, called by the Federation of Burkina Remparts Associations, demonstrated Saturday their support for President Ibrahim Traor© and his government for their security and development efforts in Burkina Faso. The Burkina Remparts Association Federation, in collaboration with the citizen watch of the commune of Poa (Centre-West), organized this Saturday, June 28, 2025, a large meeting to support the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, in his actions to secure and develop the country.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the population came out in large numbers to attend the official inauguration of a citizen watch roundabout, called Ibrahim Traor©, in the presence of several personalities. The “Guardians of the Popular and Progressive Revolution,” also known as the Wayiyans, took advantage of this mobilization to plant seedlings in the courtyard of the Poa municipal school and to give the students postos from the head of state as well as copies of the national anthem.
Before these activities, a caravan marked the participants’ commitment to supporting Captain Traor© in the fight against imperialism. The national president of the Burkina Remparts Federation, Omar Michel Kopia, expressed his satisfaction with the inauguration of the roundabout, marking the official establishment of the Poa citizen watch.
Mr. Kopia stated that Wayiyans will now be able to report cases of suspicious individuals, epidemics, or food crises in the commune. “We have mobilized the entire population of Poa to prove that support for Captain Ibrahim Traor© is unwavering, including here in Poa,” he declared in front of a huge crowd.
The head of the Burkina Remparts Federation indicated that the establishment of citizen monitoring aims to block the path of malicious individuals who want to hinder the dynamics of the popular and progressive Revolution in Burkina Faso. The co-sponsor of the ceremony, Seydou Bouda, said he came with his elder brother Franck Alain Kabor© to accompany the president of Burkina Remparts in his actions of support for the head of state.
“The effigies of the President of Faso and the national anthem given to students are tools for civic and citizenship education. These are values ??that we instill in children from an early age to prepare them to be the citizens of tomorrow,” said Mr. Bouda. Pauline Zoubga/Yam©ogo, the communal coordinator of women in Burkina Remparts de Poa, stressed that the women remain determined to support President Traor© in his efforts to secure and develop Faso.
“We are committed to providing food to the citizen vigil that will be set up at the Ibrahim Traor© roundabout in Poa, because it defends our common cause,” said Ms. Zoubga. It should be noted that this major meeting in support of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, was sponsored by Franck Alain Kabor©.
