Burkina/Solidarity: The Lagmtaaba Association Provides Essential Aid to Over 200 Displaced Persons

Ouagadougou: The Lagmtaaba Association of Customary Chiefs for Citizen Watch (ALCVC) distributed food worth 1.5 million FCFA to more than 200 internally displaced persons (IDPs) on Saturday, March 29, 2025, in Ouagadougou. The aid included essential items such as spaghetti, oil cans, and clothing, and was aimed at assisting the IDPs in celebrating the feast of Ramadan.

According to Burkina Information Agency, ALCVC President Balem Naaba of Komsilga highlighted the goal of this initiative as a means to help vulnerable individuals during the festive period. He emphasized the association's commitment to supporting those in need during challenging times.

During the official handover of the donations, Honor© Samandoulougou, president of the National Citizen Watch Coordination (CNAVC), praised the collective spirit of solidarity demonstrated by the donation. He acknowledged the role of traditional leaders in citizen monitoring and noted the initiative as a response to Captain Ibrahim Traor©'s call for solidarity among the Burkinabe people.

Ousmane Diallo, representing the beneficiaries, expressed his gratitude for the assistance. He emphasized the significance of the provisions in enabling them to partake in the celebrations, regardless of the exact timing of the festivities.
