Koubri: Burkinabe Prime Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ou©draogo launched the operational phase of the state-owned company "Faso Guulgo" in Koubri, a factory designed for the production of feed for livestock, poultry, and fish, boasting a daily production capacity of 100 tonnes.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the launch took place in Koubri, a town 25 km from the capital, marking a significant step in the manufacturing of feed for cattle, poultry, fish, and other livestock. The factory is equipped with six production lines, including soybean distribution, corn grinding, soybean cleaning, soybean pressing, mixing, and granulated flour production, as noted by the general manager of "Faso Guulgo," Yaya Soulama.
Mr. Soulama highlighted that the factory produces complete feed, eliminating the need for additional mixing. The feed is composed of ingredients such as corn, soybeans, cotton, rice, and salt. The rehabilitation of the factory came at a cost of $200 million, funded by the state budget.
Prime Minister Jean Emmanuel Ou©draogo emphasized that the operational phase of this state-owned company will enhance the structure of the entire livestock sector. He stressed the importance of providing breeders nationwide with quality feed at reasonable prices.
The company "Faso Guulgo" was established by decree on December 31, 2024. Its mission includes manufacturing feed and derivatives for livestock, ensuring the availability of quality animal feed at reasonable prices, and developing a sustainable supply mechanism for raw materials essential for its operation.
