Ouagadougou: President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, expressed his gratitude to the country’s fighting forces on Tuesday, acknowledging their efforts in liberating areas that had been under terrorist control for the past four to five years.
According to Burkina Information Agency, President Traor© addressed the nation during the monthly flag-raising ceremony in Ouagadougou. He highlighted the significant progress made by the forces on the ground, celebrating the recapture of regions that had been dominated by terrorist activities for years.
During his speech, President Traor© emphasized the importance of the work done by the combat forces over the last quarter, which he described as “exceptional.” He noted that this progress marks a crucial step in the nation’s fight against terrorism, although he cautioned that some areas are still in the process of being consolidated.
To ensure the lasting success of these efforts, Captain Traor© called on the forces to remain vigilant against the enemy’s tactics. He also urged all active forces to intensify their efforts to achieve a decisive victory over terrorism.
