Ouahigouya: Under the chairmanship of the Governor of the North region, Thomas Yampa, the launch of the 2nd edition of the Days of Patriotic Commitment and Citizen Participation (JEPPC) was held on Wednesday. The event, attended by various constituted bodies and citizens of the Northern region, marked the beginning of a series of activities aimed at promoting civic engagement and patriotic awareness.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the theme for this year’s JEPPC is “For order and discipline: I commit myself.” The initiative encourages the participation of all Northern region populations through concrete actions. The objectives of organizing the JEPPC include promoting values of civic duty, courage, solidarity, and respect for public affairs in the land of upright men.

A message from the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, was read by Governor Yampa during the launch. The message emphasized adherence to government directives and the responsible use of public property and funds. The regional authority urged all public officials to comply with these principles.

A detailed program comprising 15 activities has been outlined to fill the days of this first fortnight of the JEPPC. Among the planned activities in Ouahigouya and other provincial capitals are awareness-raising campaigns, blood donation drives, film screenings on the work of President Sankara, radio programs, and fundraising efforts to support peace initiatives.
