Mobile units of the national police and the VDP, neutralized yesterday Monday, a dozen terrorists in Tarba (Nayala) and recovered a batch of equipment, according to an army report.

“The 5th Grouping of Mobile Intervention Units (GUMI) of the National Police and the VDPs of the locality of Gossina (Nayala province, Boucle du Mouhoun region) ambushed a convoy of terrorists in the area Tarba (Nayala province, Boucle du Mouhoun region) on Monday August 14, 2023.

This action, meticulously prepared and carried out with great coordination, caused enormous losses in the enemy ranks. In the balance sheet, a dozen terrorists neutralized and a batch of material recovered including weapons, ammunition, six (06) motorcycles, one (01) tricycle, one (01) bicycle and various other materials.

On the friendly side, no damage was recorded.

The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces congratulates the men for this victorious action.

He urges all units to maintain this spirit of initiative which helps to strengthen the ascendancy over armed terrorist groups. It is at this price that the gains made in the context of the reconquest of the national territory will be consolidated. »
