OUAGADOUGOU: The Minister in charge of Commerce, Serge Poda, has called on Burkinabe companies to establish a strong culture of quality to meet customer satisfaction and address stakeholder needs. This invitation was extended during the 34th edition of the National Quality Days and the 13th edition of the Burkinabe Quality Prize, held in Ouagadougou.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Minister Poda emphasized the government’s commitment to supporting economic players in enhancing their activities and maintaining a smooth business environment. He urged businesses to adopt the Quality Management System (QMS) within their organizations to foster industrialization, a key governmental objective. Poda highlighted that the implementation of QMS, coupled with effective resource management, would bolster the competitiveness and resilience of companies in Burkina Faso.
Daouda Ouédraogo, chairman of the board of directors of ABNORM, reiterated the significance of integrating quality into business operations. He
noted that only those companies prioritizing quality would thrive in today’s competitive global market. During the event, around ten prizes will be awarded to the top performers among the thirty companies competing for the Burkinabe Quality Award. The event focuses on the theme “Quality and optimization of resources in the service of the resilience of the national economy.”
