The Minister Delegate in charge of Security, Mahamoudou Sana launched on Tuesday, the eVisaburkina platform which aims to strengthen internal security in Burkina Faso and optimize revenue collection.
“This major innovation, driven by the Burkina Faso Visa Securing Project (PSV-BF) has the overall objective of contributing to the strengthening of internal security through the control of migratory flows and to optimize the collection and management of state revenue", affirmed the Minister Delegate in charge of Security Mahamoudou Sana.
The Minister indicated that the e visaburkina platform will bring visa delivery services closer to users and stimulate tourism in Burkina Faso, through the facilities it offers.
According to Mr. Sana, any foreigner subject to a visa, and who would like to go to Burkina Faso, can make his request online, pay by credit card or be assisted by the diplomatic representations of Burkina Faso.
Mr. Sana spoke on Tuesday in Ouagadougou, during a press conference on the launch of the e visaburkina platform.
In addition, the Minister Delegate also indicated that the cost of the visa varies according to the length of stay and the type of visa requested.
The transit visa (1-5 days) costs 22,000 CFA francs; that of short-stay tourism, it is obtained at 33,000 CFA francs.
For business, the short stay visa amounts to 93,500 FCFA and the long stay to 187,000 FCFA.
There are other visas such as the cooperation, conference, study, training and visit visas, the amounts of which vary according to the duration.
Mr. Sana urged the Burkina Faso Visa Security Project (PSV-BF) team to stay the course in order to meet the challenges ahead in the implementation of phase 2 of the project.
