Burkina/H©r©dougou Bridge: Minister Adama Luc Sorgho Visits Construction Site to Motivate Workers

H©r©dougou: The Minister of Infrastructure and Accessibility, Adama Luc Sorgho, made an unannounced visit to the H©r©dougou bridge construction site on Sunday, following his return from Bobo-Dioulasso, where he attended the official launch of the Secondary Cities Mobility and Urban Development Project (PMDUVS).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the visit aimed to motivate the workers who are laboring tirelessly to ensure the timely completion of the project. The bridge, located in the Bal© province of the Boucle du Mouhoun region, is a crucial infrastructure endeavor that holds strategic importance for mobility and regional accessibility.

Minister Sorgho, after inspecting the site and discussing progress with the workers, emphasized the importance of maintaining momentum and speed in the construction process. He noted the high expectations from the public and the necessity of delivering the project efficiently.

Jonas Djiguemd©, Managing Director of PFO Burkina, detailed the current status of the project to Minister Sorgho. He reported that the drilling for the first pier's piles is complete, and work has begun on the last pier. Additionally, earthworks are progressing over a 3-kilometer stretch on both sides of the site, alongside the initiation of the large culvert construction.

Mr. Djiguemd© highlighted the rigorous schedule being followed, with reinforcement and pile drilling taking place during the day and concreting occurring at night. He expressed appreciation for the Minister's visit, acknowledging it as both a pressure and a motivation, underscoring the project's significance to the authorities.

He also mentioned that the upcoming weeks would be critical, with the initiation of pile resurfacing, pile head foundation work, and the continuation of pre-slab prefabrication at the base camp.
