Burkina: The governor of the Eastern region, Ram Joseph Kafando, announced on Monday the lifting of the curfew in his territorial constituency, starting Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at 4 a.m.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the curfew had been imposed by the regional authority across the entire territory of the Eastern region for several years as part of the fight against serious crime and terrorism. This longstanding measure is set to be terminated, marking a significant shift in the region’s security approach.
An administrative press release dated November 11, 2024, issued by Governor Kafando, informed the population of the curfew’s termination.
