Ouagadougou: The former director of the Burkina Information Agency, Alban Kini, was appointed on Wednesday as Secretary General (SG) of the media, according to the minutes of the Council of Ministers of the day.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Alban Kini was appointed Secretary General of the press agency, which was established in August 2024 as an Administrative State Establishment by the government. He previously served as the director of the Burkina Information Agency (AIB) from 2018 to 2023, during which the agency functioned as a technical department of Editions Sidwaya, the public press company.
Kini also held the position of Deputy Director General of Communication and Media at the Ministry of Communication. With this appointment, Kini becomes the first Secretary General of the media.
