Burkina Faso’s Transition President Announces Diplomatic Staff Reduction and Budget Cuts for Student Infrastructure


Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso – Captain Ibrahim Traoré, President of the Transition in Burkina Faso, has announced significant measures aimed at reducing the country’s diplomatic staff abroad and reallocating ministry budgets.



According to Burkina Information Agency, The savings from these cuts are earmarked for the creation of educational infrastructure for students. Speaking on the occasion of March 8, 2024, Traoré highlighted the excessive expenditure on diplomatic missions abroad and the potential benefits of redirecting these funds towards building lecture halls and classrooms for students. Additionally, the president informed that budgets of various ministries would be adjusted to support the construction of educational facilities, emphasizing the redirection of resources to benefit students across the country.
