OUAGADOUGOU — The Presidency of Faso has issued a warning to citizens, friends, and partners of Burkina Faso regarding the spread of false comments allegedly attributed to Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the President of Faso and Head of State.
According to Burkina Information Agency, individuals have been circulating messages on social media falsely attributed to President Traoré. The Directorate urges the public to verify the authenticity of any statements through official channels of the Presidency. The warning also included a notice that the Presidency may pursue legal action against those responsible for creating and disseminating these false statements.
In a press release, the Communications Directorate expressed regret over the spread of these misleading messages and reiterated that any official communications from the Head of State will be issued through recognized channels. The public is advised to exercise caution and rely only on verified sources for information.
