Burkina Faso’s Minister of State Visits Niger for Friendship and Work


Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso – Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, the Burkinabe Minister of State in charge of Communication and Culture and spokesperson for the government, embarked on a friendship and working visit to Niger this Friday.



During his visit, Mr. Ouédraogo was welcomed by Nigerien Prime Minister and Finance Minister Ali Mahamane Lamine Zeine, with Colonel Major Amadou Abdourahamane, the Nigerien Minister of Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture, also in attendance.



According to Burkina Information Agency, that the Burkinabe minister did not issue a statement at the conclusion of the meeting. The visit is significant as Niger is set to be the guest of honor at the forthcoming National Culture Week in Burkina Faso in April 2024. Additionally, Burkina Faso, along with Niger and Mali, is developing a joint strategy for collaboration across various sectors, following the establishment of the Alliance of Sahel States and their collective decision to withdraw from ECOWAS.
