Ouagadougou: Senior officials from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, led by Minister Aboubakar Nacanabo, embarked on a visit to the National Museum, delving into exhibitions that showcased traditional cuisine, masks, and homes representative of Faso's rich cultural heritage.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Minister Nacanabo expressed the significance of culture in national development, drawing parallels between cultural appreciation and economic resilience. During the visit, the officials explored a temporary exhibition on traditional cuisine, which featured kitchen furniture essential for meal preparation and preservation, as well as the traditional dwellings of 10 ethnic groups in Burkina Faso.

The visit also included a tour of a permanent exhibition on masks and traditional musical instruments. Minister Nacanabo emphasized the richness of Burkinabe culture and the importance of promoting cultural heritage as a pathway to economic growth. He underscored the role of cultural heritage in the development of countries and called on Burkinabes to actively promote their cultural legacy.

In the context of Burkinabe Heritage Month, the visit aimed to deepen understanding of the country's history and collective memory, encouraging the promotion of Burkinabe culture. Minister Nacanabo urged his colleagues to bring their families to the museum to further explore the nation's history.

The Director General of the National Museum, Sabari Christian Dao, noted that the visit by the minister and his team serves as a motivation to enhance the museum's appeal, contributing to the socio-economic development of Burkina Faso.
