Ouagadougou: The Bayir Metba association handed over a donation of 10 tons of cement to the presidential initiative Faso Mebo in Ouagadougou on Tuesday, a contribution from the contributions of its members residing in Burkina Faso and abroad.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the association's president, Alidou Kido, stated that this gesture is part of the national mobilization effort desired by the President of Burkina Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traore, to accelerate the construction of community infrastructure. "This donation responds to the President of Burkina Faso's call to build the country. Faso Mebo and our association share the same objectives, namely working for the development of Burkina Faso," Kido remarked.
The president of Bayir Metba highlighted that the association has been actively working for several years to improve the well-being of the population. Among its initiatives are supplying pharmaceutical products to clinics and providing support to internally displaced persons.
He urged all Burkinabe, both within the country and in the diaspora, to unite in strengthening national development efforts. "We call on everyone to join hands to build our beloved homeland," he declared.
In his address to the President of Burkina Faso, Alidou Kido expressed his encouragement and wished "that God continues to guide him so that he makes good decisions for the nation." He also expressed hope for an end to terrorism "as soon as possible," so that displaced populations can peacefully return to their places of origin.
