Port Louis: The Burkina Faso Rugby Sevens Stallions achieved a 9th place finish out of 12 participating teams at the Africa Men's Sevens tournament held in Mauritius. The competition took place over two days, from June 21 to 22, as reported by the Burkinabe Rugby Federation.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Stallions faced a challenging first day on June 21st, where they played three matches. Unfortunately, they were unable to secure a victory in their initial games, losing to Zambia with a score of 12-21, Nigeria with 12-29, and South Africa with a decisive 0-33 defeat. Despite these setbacks, the team managed to rebound in subsequent matches, ultimately earning them the 9th place position in the tournament.
