Ouagadougou – Burkina Faso experienced an economic growth rate of 3.6% in 2023, despite facing significant challenges throughout the year.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the growth rate improved significantly from 1.8% in 2022. The country’s Minister of Economy, Aboubacar Nacanabo, announced that for 2024, Burkina Faso aims for a growth rate of 5.5%. The inflation rate also saw a substantial decrease, dropping from 14.1% in 2022 to just 0.7% at the end of 2023.
