Burkina Faso—The government of Burkina Faso and the World Bank have inked two financing agreements totaling $263.8 million in the form of loans.
According to the Africa News Agency, the funds will be allocated to the Mobility and Urban Development of Secondary Cities Project (PMDUVS) and the Regional Women’s Empowerment and Demographic Dividend Plus Project (SWEED+). Since the start of 2023, the Bretton Woods institution has consented to loan programs designed to aid Burkina Faso’s economic recovery.
