Ouagadougou: The Council of Ministers has authorized public expenditures of more than 24 billion FCFA for the benefit of the education and justice sectors, as part of the execution of the 2026 budget.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Burkinabe government is continuing its efforts to strengthen basic social services. Meeting in the Council of Ministers, the executive branch approved specific projects totaling over 24 billion CFA francs, primarily intended for the education and justice sectors.
The largest share, more than 23 billion FCFA, is allocated to the ministry in charge of basic education. These resources will be used to finance the purchase of textbooks, the distribution of kits to students, and the supply of school canteens.
In the justice sector, an amount of more than one billion FCFA is planned for the acquisition of equipment and the rehabilitation of infrastructure, including the high courts of Bogande and Tougan. According to the government, these investments aim to improve access to public services and strengthen human capital, considered an essential lever for economic development.
They also reflect the authorities' desire to support the resilience of the population and to consolidate the State's presence throughout the national territory.
