Burkina Faso, Niger, and Russia Discuss Defense Cooperation at Army 2024 Forum


MOSCOW — At the Army 2024 international military-technical forum, high-level defense talks were held involving representatives from Burkina Faso, Niger, and Russia. General Kassoum Coulibaly, Burkina Faso’s Minister of Defense, and Colonel Hamadou Djibo Bartie from Niger’s Ministry of National Defense met with their Russian counterpart, Minister Andrei Belooussov.



According to Burkina Information Agency, as reported by Tass, the discussions focused on potential areas for defense cooperation and measures to enhance security stability in West Africa. The Army 2024 forum, held at the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center, showcases a variety of defense technologies, including weaponry and military equipment. Tass, serving as the forum’s general media partner, highlighted the importance of these meetings for strengthening international defense relationships.
