Bamako: The Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism of Burkina Faso, Pingdwend© Gilbert Ou©draogo, led a delegation to the Malian capital on Thursday to participate in a ceremony on Friday marking the 40th day since the passing of renowned Malian filmmaker Souleymane Ciss©, who passed away on February 19, 2025, as reported by the Malian Press and Advertising Agency (AMAP).
According to Burkina Information Agency, this visit highlights the strong cultural connection between Mali and Burkina Faso and signifies a regional homage to a pivotal figure in African cinema. Minister Ou©draogo’s arrival at Modibo Keta International Airport in Bamako-S©nou was met with a warm reception from his Malian counterpart, Mamou Daff©, Minister of Crafts, Culture, Hotel Industry and Tourism.
