Burkina Faso Launches Reforestation Initiative with 100 New Plants at National Library Site

OUAGADOUGOU — The Ministry of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism kicked off a national reforestation campaign on Saturday by planting about a hundred trees at a new multifunctional site in Ouagadougou 2000, designated for the National Library.



According to Burkina Information Agency, Minister of State Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo and his team initiated the planting of both fruit and shade trees on the expansive land. The site, spanning several hectares, is set to become a diverse facility that will not only serve as a repository for physical and digital works but also include creative, performance, and leisure spaces, enhancing the cultural infrastructure of the capital.
