Ouagadougou: The official journal and legislative and regulatory texts are now accessible online on the ‘JOBF’ and ‘Legiburkina’ platforms, launched Friday by the Burkinabe government. “The General Secretariat of the Government and the Council of Ministers (SGG-CM) is today making two electronic solutions available to the Burkinabe public,” said the Minister in charge of Digital Transition, Ms. Aminata Zerbo/Sabané, who delivered the speech of the Prime Minister, Dr. Apollinaire Joachimson Kyélem of Tambela.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Ms. Zerbo explained that the “JOBF” platform is a digital tool allowing online dissemination and remote insertion in the Official Journal, while “Legiburkina” facilitates the dissemination of Burkinabe legal texts and regulatory texts to users. The launch took place in Ouagadougou, under the chairmanship of the head of government, Dr. Kyélem, and highlighted the government’s commitment to digital transformation.

Ms. Zerbo paid tribute to all stakeholders involved
in the creation of these platforms and acknowledged the IT specialists from SGG-CM and the Ministry in charge of Digital Transition for their collaborative efforts. She emphasized the importance of this collaboration in inspiring other ministerial departments to accelerate the dematerialization of administrative procedures, aiming to address daily challenges faced by citizens.

The platforms aim to provide users with access to official journals and legal texts from Burkina Faso, promoting efficiency and transparency. Ms. Zerbo expressed her belief in the necessity for ministries and institutions to collaborate harmoniously for the country’s development across all sectors.

Secretary General of the Government and Council of Ministers, Mathias Traoré, highlighted that the platforms were developed under the leadership of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, as part of the 3rd pillar of the Transition, which focuses on rebuilding the state and improving governance. Traoré stated that “Legiburkina” and ”
JOBF” would enable remote interaction with users and provide a comprehensive database of legal texts.

The launch ceremony coincided with Digital Week in Burkina and was attended by ministers responsible for the digital economy from Mali and Niger, emphasizing regional commitment to digital advancement.
