Burkina Faso Launches Construction of 40 Modern Lecture Halls

Ouagadougou: The Prime Minister of Burkina Faso, Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo, announced the commencement of construction for 40 modern amphitheaters, the renovation of the Central University Library at Joseph Ki-Zerbo University, and the completion of two digital spaces in Ouagadougou before the Transitional Legislative Assembly.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouedraogo emphasized the progress made in the higher education sector, particularly in addressing delays and standardizing academic years for public higher education and research institutions. He noted that 92.52% of programs have achieved standardized academic years to date.

The Prime Minister also highlighted several key reforms, including the complete digital transformation of procedures for guiding and registering new baccalaureate holders. Additionally, the establishment of the National Bank of Plant Genetics, the adoption of the university map, and the reform of specifications for private higher education institutions were mentioned as significant steps forward.

Further reforms cited by the Prime Minister include the introduction of a national ranking examination in health sciences and a probationary examination. These measures are seen as crucial developments that will enhance the quality and availability of higher education in Burkina Faso.
