OUAGADOUGOU - The Ministry of Defense of Burkina Faso has announced the start of a recruitment drive aimed at enlisting 1,158 non-commissioned officers for the 2024-2026 cycle at the National School for Active Non-commissioned Officers in Kamboinsin. This initiative targets Burkinabè civilians with at least a baccalaureate-level education.
According to Burkina Information Agency, published this Tuesday, the recruitment will be open from June 28 and is eligible for Burkinabè nationals aged 20 to 25 who are fit for military training. Prospective candidates must undergo testing in mathematics, French, and general culture, followed by medical fitness evaluations. This recruitment is part of Burkina Faso's broader effort to bolster its military capabilities amid ongoing national security challenges. The country has been actively upgrading its military and paramilitary resources and instilling the values of patriotism among its citizens. Just days earlier, on June 22, Prime Minister Apollinaire Kyelem of Tambela initiated a separate recruitment for 2,400 youths for the National Patriotic Service, reflecting the nation’s strategic push to strengthen its defense forces.
