Ouagadougou: The spokesman for the Burkinabe government, Pingdwend Gilbert Oudraogo, on Monday urged workers to maintain rigour at the end of the year by assiduity and respect for service schedules. The Minister of Communication, accompanied by several members of the government, presided over the raising of the colors in the administrative building.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Oudraogo highlighted that eleven months have passed and the first week of the last month of the year serves as a period for evaluation and introspection. He commended the efforts made throughout 2025 by the government and the broader Burkinabe State under the leadership of President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor. The minister emphasized that each day of the year saw decisions, innovations, or reforms.
Oudraogo noted that Burkinab¨ citizens now look forward to the sessions of the Council of Ministers not only for appointments but also to learn about the undertaken reforms. Recent changes, especially concerning the Labour Code, demonstrate the government's commitment to improving living and working conditions for all citizens. The reforms aim to benefit every Burkinabe gradually, while also stressing the importance of awareness regarding rights and obligations.
With the end-of-year celebrations approaching, the minister reminded public servants of their duty to maintain vigilance. He emphasized that public administration must function and provide quality services even on December 31. Oudraogo described assiduity and punctuality as essential principles for all workers, underlining that the people's progressive revolution demands continuous dedication.
The minister instructed secretaries general and directors of human resources to ensure daily presence of all employees at their workstations. He concluded by asserting that the achievements of the past eleven months should inspire everyone to continue their commitment.
