Burkina Faso Government Officials Visit Nahouri to Boost Domestic Tourism

PÔ, NAHOURI — In a concerted effort to promote domestic tourism, three members of the Burkina Faso government visited Pô, Nahouri yesterday, accompanied by several media professionals.

According to Burkina Informational Agency, the Minister of Communication, the visit is part of a broader initiative aimed at encouraging Burkinabè citizens to explore and appreciate their rich cultural and tourist heritage, and to become ambassadors for tourism in Burkina Faso. The delegation included Jacques Sosthène Dingara, Minister of National Education, and Amadou Dicko, Minister of Animal Resources, who are all collaborating to enhance awareness and engagement in local tourism.

The move follows the launch of the second edition of the major domestic tourism season by the Ministry of Communication, Culture, Arts, and Tourism on July 13. This initiative seeks to educate the population on the benefits of tourism and facilitate the organization of tourist stays within the country, highlighting the government’s commitment to bolstering national tourism as a vital sector for economic and cultural development.
