Burkina Faso Government Initiates Construction of Rimkieta City at 3.3 Billion FCFA

Ouagadougou: The Burkinabe government has commenced the official construction of the City of Hope in Rimkieta, located in the 8th district of Ouagadougou. The project, which carries a financial outlay of 3 billion 300 million FCFA, is expected to be completed within a 24-month timeline.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the ambitious construction project in the Burkinabe capital will feature 66 apartments intended for residential purposes and 24 designated for commercial use. The development covers an 8.4-hectare site situated in Nonghin, sector 35 of Ouagadougou, and is managed by the Centre for the Management of Cities (CEGCI).

The first stone of the real estate complex was laid by Minister of Urban Planning and Housing, Mikailou Sidibe, amidst a gathering of government officials, customary authorities, and a large audience, symbolizing a significant step towards urban development in the region.
