OUAGADOUGOU: A government delegation in Burkina Faso has appealed to the Federation of Evangelical Churches and Missions (FEME) for increased commitment and resilience in the ongoing battle against terrorism. The call was made during a visit led by Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, the Minister of State in charge of Communication, as the nation gears up for a decisive phase in reclaiming its national territory and asserting sovereignty. According to Burkina Information Agency, Minister Ouédraogo conveyed a message of recognition and homage from President Captain Ibrahim Traoré. The government team emphasized the importance of FEME's role in promoting peace, fraternity, and understanding among Burkinabé citizens, irrespective of their ethnicity or beliefs. Minister Ouédraogo highlighted the need for total mobilization alongside the Combat Forces to tackle the security challenges facing the nation. The government delegation, which included ministers responsible for Territorial Administration, Humanitarian Act ion, and Sport, expressed satisfaction with the discussions held with FEME. The head of the delegation noted that FEME assured the government of its prayers and commitment to mobilizing Burkinabé citizens for a rapid victory against internal and external threats. Pastor Henri Yé, president of FEME, reiterated the organization's commitment to praying for peace in Burkina Faso, emphasizing the belief that solutions to the country's challenges must come from divine intervention. Pastor Yé expressed contentment with the government's efforts to promote social cohesion and unity across the nation. The visit underscores the collaborative efforts between the Burkinabé government and religious organizations in addressing the nation's security concerns, as the government seeks to foster solidarity and resilience among its citizens.
